Check-in is from 3:00–7:00 p.m. Late arrivals can use the code that is emailed to guests to gain entry.


Check-out is by 11:00 a.m. If you need to arrange a late check out, call 651-560-2009. Luggage can be stowed in the office. Daily room use charges may be incurred if luggage is not properly packed and stored by room check out time.

Room & Incidental Chargers

For your convenience, your entire bill is to be paid prior to your departure via express checkout. The credit card used to reserve your stay will be charged the remaining balance the morning of your departure.

If you would like to change the card on file, please do so the day prior to your departure. Receipts will be sent to the email address on file.

Short Notice Cancellation

Lodging reservations terminated prior to scheduled departure day will be charged the full amount of their stay.

Rooms & Lodging

Damage to Rooms & Other Property

All guests are responsible for care of rooms, furnishings, and equipment while staying at The Davidson.

Employees are instructed to report any damaged or missing property, and guests responsible for damage will be billed for any repairs, replacement expense, or excess cleaning expenses as necessary.


Please do not attempt to use the fireplaces.

Housekeeping & Maintenance

Housekeepers will clean rooms and supply fresh towels and glasses daily between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

If you have a personal request for them, please leave a specific note as to what is needed in your room. If your “Do Not Disturb” sign is out during this time, they will not service your room.

Lost and Found

The office will hold items left in the room or on the grounds for 90 days with the exception of disposable toiletries. After that, they will be either donated to a local charity or disposed of.

Due to a large amount of forgotten items, if you need us to ship something you have left behind, we ask that you pay the shipping expense.


Keys are not issued for our rooms. You will be issued a code to open doors via keypads.

Manager on Duty

You can dial 651-560-2009 and then dial “6” to reach our after hours assistance line. Someone is on call 24 hours a day.


Park for free on Summit Avenue. Please pay attention to posted signs. There are a couple of events where we cannot park on Summit Avenue: Twin Cities Marathon and the Monster Dash in October. In the winter, we may have to move cars for plowing. We will provide notice.

Pets are not allowed with the exception of service dogs with proper documentation.


Robes are provided in your room. They are also available for purchase. Should you decide to take home the robe from your room, a charge of $50 will be added to your room account. Please note the robes are to be worn in your room. Please do not wear them outside.

Room Occupancy

Guests must abide by posted maximum occupancy restrictions. Please notify the innkeeper if you need a space for your group to gather.

Quiet time

Quiet time in guest rooms is observed from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. each day. During this time, please refrain from yelling, loud music, running through the halls, etc.

Smoking is NOT allowed

Smoking is not allowed in The Davidson. Please do not throw cigarette butts on the ground. The penalty for smoking inside is $150 per incident. The smoking area is located on the driveway side of the building.
